At the February 14th, City Council meeting, the council will be discussing changing the date for this year’s Apple Days celebration. The current date, September 8th will conflict with the annual Utah State vs. University of Utah football game.

But Apple Days didn’t always contain apples, or fun either, according to Ellis. Back before she took over the committee in 1998, the River Heights celebration was known as the Food and Fun Festival. Ellis remembers a time when the festival’s highlight was trying an assortment of exotic cheeses from around the world. So when she was asked to be in charge she made changes starting with renaming the celebration to Apple Days.

Soccer Tourney Cancelled!

Apple Days Correction!!!

The most recent city newsletter indicated that Apple Days this year would be held on Sunday, September 11th.  The correct date is Saturday, September 10th.  We apologize for any confusion.  A schedule of events will be provided for all residents in River Heights with the corrected date prior to Apple Days.
